So, I knew I had to make some changes in the way my mornings unfolded. Aside from giving me more energy, sitting down for a balanced, nutritious breakfast set the tone for the rest of the day in terms of food choices. 

The key is to choose foods that will provide you with lasting energy, rather than a quick sugar rush.

9) Consistency is key
